Itinerary for Customers

Duration: 0800 – 1200 hrs


Pick up at your hotel or the airport and travel to one of downtown’s morning markets. Here vendors gather to sell everything from fresh vegetables and fruits to fish and meats as well as a variety of dipping sauces and pastes such as pancakes, steam sticky rice with beans and samosa. On the way, stop and taste some of the breakfast treats popular with the locals.

Then take a short drive to Seik Kan Thar Street, another morning market area with many stalls selling palata, flowers and fruits. Try a bite of palata or an exotic local fruit.

Afterwards, pull up a chair at Padauk Yeik, which this street stall is a popular place to have laphet thoke, Burmese tea-leaf salad. Enjoy a plate of tea-leaf salad. Walk to the tea shop and sip a cup of Burmese tea while watching scenes of local life go by.

Then return to your hotel.
