Itinerary for Customers

Day 1 : Yangon (-/-/-)
Yangon Arrive Yangon international airport with morning flight, transfer to the hotel. Then start the sightseeing of Yangon, visit the well-known Scott Market also known as Bogyoke Aung Sann Zay from where visitors could get the adaptation of Myanmar lifestyle in their daily urban life. This is where people can enjoy the choice of local products in variety for their shopping information or one own discretion. Then proceed to the royal lake where you can see the restaurant in very unique shape of legendary bird called Karaweik which is believed to possess the mellifluous voice, actually this is the form of the barge used by Myanmar kings in olden days when they made the trip along the Irrawaddy River. After the photo stop and continue to the Reclining Buddha image with the length of 216 feet and its eyes casting down to the visitors with full of compassion and kindness. Finally to end the day by visiting one of the wonder of the world Shwedagon Pagoda with its height of about 100metres, shining of the gold in the evening with the sunset can make the visitor to call it a day.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel

Day 2: Yangon – Bago – Yangon (B/-/-)
After breakfast head off for Bago 84 kilometres from Yangon about 2 hours drive. On the way, enjoy the rural sights where rice is grown and monastery like Kyat Khat Wine where we can see the junior Buddhist monks in their monastic life. After arrival at Bago visit the Shwetharlyaung, an ancient Buddha image in reclining position built by Mon people, existing as a strong evident of conversion of belief from animists to Buddhists. Then proceed to the Maha Zeidi built by King Bayint Naung who was not only the founder of 2nd Myanmar Empire but also well-known by Thai people for his sovereignty over Ayokedaya during his time, one can enjoy the panoramic view of Bago from the higher level of the stupa, but unfortunately females are not allowed to go up onto the stupa, Then visit the golden stupa Shwemawdaw which is higher than Shwedagon. After Lunch in Bago, there are places to visit like Bago market and etc.

Back to Yangon in the early evening, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Yangon – Bagan (B/-/-)
After breakfast transfer to the airport for Bagan, the richest archaeological site belongs to 11th to 13th century, the first Myanmar Empire which sowed the seed of Buddhism for the whole Myanmar. After arrival at Bagan, visit the morning market to experience the life of people in rural area. Then proceed to Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of later stupas, its beauty enhances the image of Bagan in very outstanding way. The Kyanzittha Umin where people used for meditation has original mural painting to tell its history. The Wekkyi Inn Gubyauk Gyi which is well known for its 550 mural painting about Jataka stories of Buddha mentioned on its interior wall. Other interests like Htilominlo temple, Shwegugyi temple, after lunch continue for Ananda temple considered to be the most beautiful temple in the whole Bagan, Manuha temple and Nanphaya which retell the tragic ending of King Manuha who was the king possessed the Buddhist scriptures in his kingdom in Thaton. Finally the king had to surrender not only the scripture but also his kingdom to king Anawrahta, a Visit in leisure around anywhere, you will never miss a spot of interest with the time you spend, after the sunset from a temple and then dinner and overnight at hotel.

Overnight in Bagan

Day 4: Bagan (B/-/-)
OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Balloon Experience Over Bagan – Start the morning with an unforgettable hot-air balloon flight over Bagan’s temple studded plains – widely considered to be the one of the most iconic experiences in Asia. Be sure to bring a camera, as this will surely prove to be one of the best photo opportunities of the entire trip. (Note: available only from late October to late March; all flight weather permitting)

After breakfast, start the sightseeing in Bagan especially to cover the visit in new Bagan zone by visiting Lawkananda Pagoda which is on the river bank, Phaya Thon Zu with mural painting, Tayoke Pyay Temple, Sinphyushin Temple with original plaster decoration in good condition, Pyathatgyi Temple, Dhammayangyi Temple outstanding for its size in massive brick work, after lunch continue to take a walk through the village where lacquer wares are made, a chance to visit the local people closely, visit the Myazeidi pagoda together with the sand stone pillar inscribed with 4 local languages, Mon, Pali, Sanskrit and Myanmar inscription were inscribed about the donation of the Myazeidi pagoda. Enjoy the setting sun from Shwesandaw pagoda or Bupaya on the bank of the river Irrawaddy and call it a day. Enjoy the puppet show together with our tradition style Myanmar Daung Lann dinner at the restaurant (by own account).

Overnight in Bagan

Day 5: Bagan – Yangon (B/-/-)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Yangon. Arrive Yangon and make a final glance of Yangon with lunch. Then transfer to the airport for the departure.

All cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged by Wings & Wheels Travels and Tours. A 10% handling fee will be charged made 30 days or more prior to your arrival unless there are any charges or prepayments. Guide, car and entrance fees are fully refundable at any time before travel.
More than 30 days before departure: 10% of total tour price

Between 30 and 21 days before departure: 25% of total tour price
Between 20 and 8 days before departure: 50% of total tour price
Between 7 days and 48 hours before departure: 75% of total tour price
Less than 48 hours before departure: 100% of total tour price
