About Your Trip

Explore Bagan which is the birthplace of Buddhism and Myanmar history and observe ancient votive tablets and Lacquerware amongst ten traditional arts called Pan Se’ Myo. By breathing in the odor of the earth of rural area, check in and take a look at the toddy farm and then leave behind the stresses of urban life for a moment.


    Day 1 : Yangon – Bagan                                           (-/-/-)

    This evening, depart Yangon at 09:00 PM and take a rest at 115 Miles and proceed your drive to Bagan.

    Day 2: Bagan – Mt. Popa                                           (B/L/D)

    Early in the morning, you will get to Mt. Popa. Mt. Popa is an extinct volcano with spectacular views. Its shrine is dedicated to animist spirits known as “Nats” and you will have a chance to challenge yourselves to climb the 777 steps to the shrine at the top of the peak. One the way back, visit a palm toddy farm for a delicious lunch and have a chance to experience countryside lifestyles. 

    After lunch at local restaurant, check in to the hotel and take a rest for a while. In the afternoon, visit Gubyaukgyi Temple – known for its wall paintings depicting scenes from the Jakatas and Dhammayangyi Temple.

    Continue to an elevated viewpoint to watch an unforgettable sunset over the plains before returning to the hotel.

    Day 3: Bagan (Swe Taw Lay Su)  (B/L/D)

    In the early morning after breakfast, start your tour of Bagan including Swe Taw Lay Su.

    It is believed by the local Burmese that visiting all four places Shwezigone, Tu Yin Taung and Lawka Nandar and Tant Kyi Taung in one day make your wish be fulfilled.

    Pick up at your hotel by our guide and begin with a visit to Shwezigon Pagoda, one of the Bagan’s most famous sites with a legend behind its creation. Learn about the story and its importance to local people. 

    Then, continue on to Tu Yin Taung, a hilltop stupa in the eastern part of the main Archaeological Park.  While approaching the temple, you will be greeted by 500 monk statues lined in rows. The stupa’s elevated location offers fabulous views, a unique perspective of Bagan as well as its surroundings and a picture-perfect photo opportunity. 

    The next stop is Lawka Nandar, located in New Bagan, right close to Irrawaddy River. It is a bulbous stupa with a cylindrical bell and three octagonal terraces as a base. The temple is still place of everybody worship as it preserves a Buddha relic. 

    In the afternoon, we drive to the jetty where a private boat is waiting to transfer across the river of Tant Kyi Taung. On your boat while driving along the Irrawaddy River, you will see many beautiful sights of temples from the distance. Then, continue by jeep (approximately 15 minutes) through the countryside to Tant Kyi Taung. Tant Kyi Taung is a unique temple in Bagan as it is believed that many centuries ago, Buddha stopped at this hill, where the temple is now built up. On the return drive to the jetty, you have the option to stop in Tant Kyi village for a short walk around. 

    Then, transfer back to Bagan; visit some temples when the time permits. Continue to Bu Pagoda and watch the sunset. Then transfer back to the hotel.

    Day 4: Bagan – Yangon (B/L/-)

    After breakfast at the hotel, check out to the hotel. Return Yangon by car. On the way, visit the Nyaung Oo Market. Visiting the market, you can find almost every famous items of the region ranging from the traditional longyi to other kinds of clothes, from rattan items to tea leaves. In addition, you will have great chances to take as many pictures as you want and immerse in the unique culture of the locals.
